    Documentation Generation & Mailing as Attachments

    Documents are now generated on the server side, ensuring consistency accross all devices and browsers. The documents are also generated in a PDF format directly without the requirement to Print to PDF. This change allows the system to email the documents as attachments instead of a protected link, which is now deprecated.

    Email Templates

    We’ve add a feature to allow companies to modify the content of the emails sent out related to the documentation such as the Booking MBL, HBL and others. At the moment, to modify the content of the emails (subject and body) please contact our support team to assist you with updating them. The next update will include an interface to modify those emails by the company administrator.

    The new update allows company administrator to upload a custom company logo to be used on the portal and the emails sent out for more branding customization. This features is available for companies with a higher teir subscription.

    Exporter Primary and Billing Contact

    Exporters now have the option to set a primary contact that will be used in the documentation and a billing contact that will be used as bill-to on the generated invoices via the system.

    Limited Access Exporter

    We’ve introduced a new feature that grants exporters the ability to provide read-only access to inventory, packing plans, containers, and packing orders. This feature ensures that users with this access cannot create or modify any existing records. It is particularly useful for granting access to clients or brokers managed by another exporter, or when an exporter wishes to provide read-only access to another user.

    Visual Enhancements

    • Generated container and packing order documents have the option to show weight in pounds
    • Move the exporter save button to the bottom of the page
    • Enhance error registration to include more details
    • New settings to round the cargo weight
    • Login and Logout respects the portal branded domain

    New User Interface

    The new update introduces a significant update to our dashboard layout, designed to enhance your user experience. The new layout features a more compact and organized navigation menu on the left side of the portal, making it easier to find what you need. Additionally, we’ve relocated the profile button to the top right corner of the portal, now accessible via a simple drop-down menu. This new profile button displays the logged-in user’s information, the company name, and provides a convenient logout option. We believe these changes will make navigating our platform more intuitive and efficient.

    Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)

    We’re excited to announce the addition of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to our portal and mobile application, significantly enhancing the security of our platform. MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring users to verify their identity through multiple methods before gaining access. This means that in addition to entering their password, users will need to provide a second form of verification, such as a code sent to their mobile device or an authentication app. This new feature helps safeguard your data against unauthorized access, ensuring a more secure and reliable user experience. We highly recommend enabling MFA to take full advantage of this enhanced security measure.

    Invoices Bulk Update

    Users can now update the statuses of multiple invoices at once. This enhancement allows users to efficiently manage multiple statuses at once, saving valuable time and effort. With this update, you can quickly apply changes across a range of items, streamlining your workflow. Additionally, this feature is designed with future expansion in mind, ensuring that we can continue to add more functionality and improvements based on your needs. We believe this will greatly enhance your productivity and overall experience with our platform.

    Documents & Images Enhancements

    Our mobile app received updates as well featuring significant improvements to document management. The new document management system now allows you to sort documents by their original creation time or upload time, giving you more flexibility in organizing your files. Additionally, we’ve divided images into multiple pages to enhance the app’s performance and improve download speeds, especially when handling a large number of images. These updates are designed to make your mobile experience smoother and more efficient.

    Visual Enhancements

    • Change the title Cargoe(s) to Inventory
    • VIN decoder adds the label (electric) next to the vehicle modal by default if the vehicle is hybrid or electric
    • Change reference number to Doc Receipt on cargoes
    • View documents on containers view page

    All New VIN Decoder

    The new update introduces a new VIN decoder system that uses more extensive resources to pull vehicles information. The new decoder has the ability to fetch and list all available trims for decoded vehicle along with the detailed information for each one.

    The new decoder has the ability to save any decoded VIN and reuse that information if the same VIN was used again for any reason, saving money and/or credit in the process. With the option re-decode the same VIN in case there were new information added to the VIN data source providing more data accuracy and integrity.

    Documents Bin

    Take control over your deleted documents. With the new update management can view deleted documents, restore them, or delete them to save on the available storage for their profile.

    Redesigned Settings Layout

    With simplicity in mind, we’ve redesigned the settings layout screen. Now you can find all the different settings categories in a single view without having to scroll around. We’ve also added widget capability to include statistics or analytical data for management. We have great future plans for this feature that we will share in a later post.

    Add Invoice Item from History

    This new feature will allow users to add new items to an invoice that was entered before on the same invoice or another invoice. User can type to search the database and it will list the top 3 found results matching the search text. The copied item will include all the information from the original source, including the taxable and billable state.

    Fuel Type on Cargo

    The platform now has the option to decode or select the type of fuel the cargo uses when it’s a vehicle. The new data field support Electric, Hybrid, and / or Gasoline.

    We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Surface Edge 0.11, the latest evolution in software excellence! As we embark on this journey together, let us delve into the remarkable features that await you:

    Faster Image Optimization

    The new update provide speed to the optimization process by handling the optimization locally on your device before sending it to our servers for storage. This feature increased the speed of processing up to 80% form the previous method. We also took in consideration users who are using unsupported or old devices by keeping the online optimization (previous method) as an option. This option can be enabled by selecting “Online Optimization” or “Use online optimization”.

    Optimized Images Indicator

    The new images viewer now shows an indication on the images thumbnails the shows if the image is optimized already or not. In case the image was not optimized, the user have the ability to download and re-optimize it again by uploading it again, or confirm to use the online optimizer.

    Side Panel

    This release introduces the Right Side Panel. This new panel can be expanded and closed from the top right corner of the user’s screen. The new panel will be used to show attached and collaborative data and actions. Currently it holds the team comments sections on the records and we plan in the next update to include record activities, and other actions. The right side panel default status can be managed from the user Profile screen.

    Exporting Invoices List

    Invoices now can be exported in a PDF table format showing all the information related such as exporter information, sub total, tax, totals, paid amount and remaining balance.

    Exporters Access to Documentations

    The new update allows exporters to see the House Bill of Lading, House Hold Goods, and other documentation related to their packing order in the packing order view screen.

    Records Status Module Default Option

    From the records statuses module management in settings, users can select which status is to be the default one. The default status will be the automatically selected one when listing the records. For example if status “Pending” is selected as the default for “Cargoes” module, then visited the cargoes listing in inventory section, the system will automatically select the “Pending” tab as the initial view.

    Other Enhancements

    1. Remove documents upload option on packing order view screen.
    2. Added “Unpaid” to invoices listing statuses which includes all invoices excluding: Completed, Draft, Void, and Paid.
    3. New action button on Packing Orders listing in containers to allow easy access to documentations.
    4. Added invoices tab to exporters view.
    5. Added sorting to invoices listing.

    • Fix general settings screen disconnection error pop-up not hiding after pressing “Try Again”.

    We are glad to announce the release of 0.10 Twilight Zone. The new update bring great features and new functionalities. This post we will provide the details of all those new exciting updates.

    Images Optimization

    This feature was originally implemented in the system but was having problem with optimizing large images. In the new update, we’ve addressed the large images issue, and we made the optimization process optional as well. Users can also adjust the optimization options such as the quality and the width of the new optimize image from the settings.

    Booking Master Bill of Lading

    The new update introduce a new legal document type which is Booking Master Bill of Lading. The new document is a booking documents that includes all containers that share the same booking number.

    Legal Documents Templates

    The new portal offers multiple documentation templates. These templates will allow for more future development and customization to accommodate different businesses in different jurisdiction and countries. The templates can be changes from the administration settings page under “General Settings”.

    Accounting

    We’ve added a full accounting capabilities to the EV platform. The new accounting module includes income deposit accounts management, and invoicing. The main features in the new module are:

    1. Ability to link multiple packing orders and auto generate the invoice items based on the selected cargoes on the linked packing orders.
    2. Ability to add custom items to the invoice.
    3. Recording transactions.
    4. Ability to generate and email industrial invoices as well as Modern invoices.

    We’ve assigned a dedicated team to develop more functionalities and features into this new module that will be released over with future updates.

    Forwarding Agent

    Exporters now have a new set of contacts that can be associated with them as the Forwarding Agents. Those linked contacts will be visible as a selection on the packing order once it is assigned to the exporter. The forwarding agent information will be visible on the documentations when emailed or generated.

    Cargoes Listing

    Inventory listing got some new functionalities that enhance the user experience and make access easier to more information. The new features include:

    1. Reorganize the table columns
    2. Added new option to exclude packed cargoes from the listing
    3. Link to the containing packing order
    4. Added the booking number with link to the containers listing with the booking number as the search term

    Multiple VIN Decoders

    The platform now uses multiple VIN decoders to collect vehicles data. Aside from that we’ve taken some measures to collect unrelated data to the VIN numbers such as weight and other information. While the default VIN decoder is available for all packages. This multiple layers VIN decoder is only available for the middle and large teir subscription.

    Other Small Details

    1. Added description to dashboard statistics explaining each one
    2. Creating a new side menu for Inventory
    3. Removed print PDF option to ensure quality by using device PDF printer
    4. Removed destination as a requirement to list available cargoes in packing orders linking
    5. Replace the Job # column in containers listing to Job(s) #

    Fixed Bugs:

    Aside from all the added features above we’ve also fixed the following bugs identified by our quality assurance team and by our users:

    1. Fix the portal side menu for exporters showing additional links
    2. Fix the message on 404 Not Found screen
    3. Fix settings processing function performance
    4. Fix some errors showing blank on certain cases
    5. Fix notify party information on Packing Order / Dock Receipt
    6. Fix Custom Clearance documentation container information
    7. Fix job numbers not showing on Master Bill of Lading and Dock Receipt for template_2
    8. Fix the spacing in Packing Order / House Bill of Lading
    9. Fix Booking Master Bill of Lading including all containers
    10. Fix deleting a document hiding other documents without losing any data
